Number of years riding downhill: 4 but racing for 2.

Highlights of your riding career so far: Not really had many to be honest. I’m just waiting to stay on!! No I’m joking, had a good one at the Scottish champs coming 3^rd. Had a few good nationals but crashes and mechanicals have proved my downfall.

Aims for the 2011 season: To prove what i am capable of staying on my bike! Prepare better, and focus on job in hand.

What’s it like being part of SPS? It’s really good to be in a team environment that’s so layed back but profesional at the same time. Everyone is a good laugh and i can speak to Steve and Tristan on an equal basis about ideas and just general things, its like a family!

First impressions of the Santa Cruz V10? The V10 has been the only downhill bike i have ever had so cant really compare, but from rides i have had on other bikes it is in a league of its own completely. Its’ race proven at the top level.

Favourite rider/biggest influence and why? Obviously Steve is a massive inspiration to all British riders. The way he is not slowing up is unbelievable and proves that if you love something you can keep going at it for as long as you want! Other than that, everyone who is doing their own thing inspires me. It’s one thing to follow someone’s lead and try to make it in the sport that way. But Downhill’s at the point now where people are having to properly step it up to make it to where they want to be. Everyone’s so pinned these days the competitions hard!

Best UK DH track and why? Got to be Llangollen, not anything out the ordinary at all, apart from its a steep hill. It stands out because the landowner and town are very much behind the venue getting bigger, hopefully it will live up to expectations in 2011.
