Training
Included in 2011 is two separate uplift sessions / training days with Steve leading the training. The UK SPS will have it first training weekend at Hopton, Shropshire on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of March. Along with Steve there will be other world cup riders, riding and giving training advice to the team. That’s the beauty of the SPS, you get access to Steve’s years of riding experience, his back room staff and the fast company he keeps.
Training days will take place on the Saturday with just your SPS team members, meaning you get plenty of training with Steve and his coaching partner. Steve will choose a suitable world cup rider to help him with the training and make sure the SPS team riders get plenty of good coaching and advice.
On the Sunday, there will be an option for further training with Steve and his team, these Sunday sessions are open to non SPS riders too, however, SPS riders will get priority booking preference and a discounted rate.
Physical training. As an added bonus to the original 2011 team offer, the Steve Peat Syndicate arranged a team launch weekend that involved a day at Sheffield Hallam university where riders received some advice from the countries leading sport scientists. It is, along with Steve’s awesome bike skill, the crew at Sheffield Hallam University that has helped to keep Steve at the top of his game for so long in his career. Riders were given an insight into pre season strength and conditioning, sports psychology, social media and general media advice, physiological testing and a host of other useful advice. The riders also had a good night out together to bond together as the SPS family and it has gelled the team together nicely, already they are a team with a family feel. Check out a video of the team at Sheffield Hallam University and getting to know one another over a curry and ten pin bowling.
The Steve Peat Syndicate has a charter, rather than a contract that each rider signs up to.
